Movist Pro 2022 for macOS is a media player for Mac with many brilliant and powerful features to provides endless entertainment. Thanks in advance! This is the last roadblock for me to fully switch over to mpv, as I love pretty much all its other features.Download Movist Pro 2 for Mac free latest full version direct download link complete standalone offline installer for macOS Big Sur. I don't think comparing numbers is the best way to measure performance but I just wanted to leave these here in case someone notices something off about them. mpv uses around 25% CPU and >80% GPU (0% without macos-force-dedicated-gpu). If these help, QuickTime usually runs with 8-10% CPU usage and 0% GPU usage. I know mpv has conservative defaults, so does anyone have any settings recommendations? If this is known but there isn't a solution, does anyone know why QuickTime works so well? Unfortunately, my computer heats up like crazy and my GPU usage is consistently >80% with that option.Ĭan anyone reproduce? I'm currently on macOS 11 but this has happened with 10.15 as well. When I enable macos-force-dedicated-gpu, mpv runs very smoothly and it appears to run as smooth as QuickTime Player. QuickTime Player doesn't seem to noticeably lag my system though. I test this by invoking Mission Control (three-finger swipe up on trackpad) and when a video is playing in mpv, the animations are significantly choppier. When playing a video in mpv with default settings, it seems that my system runs less smoothly compared to playing the same video in QuickTime Player.
